EloraFergusToday received the following letter from a reader opposing a rezoning that would allow a trucking company operate in Aberfoyle.
I am opposed to rezoning and allowing Wellington truck company to consolidate their operation in Aberfoyle.
Residents have a number of serious concerns, which include, among other things, noise, air pollution and the impact on the watershed and surrounding wells.
Difficult to believe that this will only be a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. operation, and future growth will definitely impose other serious issues for the community. Puslinch Township has to be very aware that increased trucks and traffic will affect the safety of all the residents.
I chose to live in Aberfoyle for its small-town feel and rural location, do not spoil it.
