EloraFergusToday received the following letter about the kindness showed to a reader after they accidentally drove into a snow-filled ditch.

I would like to send a very big thank you to all the people who stopped to check that I was okay after I ended up in the ditch after trying to pull over to the shoulder on Wellington Rd 38 north of Mill Rd. I discovered that what I mistakenly thought was the shoulder, really was a snow-filled ditch! Other than feeling incredibly foolish (I know that road well but obviously not well enough) neither I nor the car were damaged.

Several OPP stopped to check on my well being and a big thanks to them. I know it’s all part of their job, but very few people send them thanks.
I lost count of the number of drivers who stopped to check on my well-being and that assistance was on the way.

CAA arrived exactly on time and quickly towed me out of the ditch and on to the real shoulder.

We live in a wonderful part of the world where people are so caring.
