Innovation Guelph dispensed $570,000 to 19 companies, including seven companies in Guelph and Fergus, through the federal government's inclusion diversity environment acceleration (i.d.e.a.) Fund.

The fund was created to help clean growth firms with financial and business support to redesign green products, services and technologies to reduce climate impact.

The Guelph companies, which will each receive $30,000 are AgroBot (BH Frontiers), Cabin Office Company, Escarpment Labs, Friendlier Company, Psigryph Inc. and Wishing Well Services Ltd.

There is one Fergus company which will also receive $30,000, called ReLit (1847 Stone Milling).

“We received applications from many worthy and interesting companies; the selection was challenging. We’re excited to work with the 19 companies who are creating positive change and furthering FedDev Ontario’s objectives to support green innovators across southwestern Ontario,” said Alison Crumblehulme, CEO of Innovation Guelph, in a press release.

Applications for round two of the i.d.e.a. Fund opens in March 2023, with more information on the Innovation Guelph website.
