The Town of Erin is inviting applications from local non-profit, charitable, and youth organizations for its community grant program.

The grant aims to support any individual, group, or organization operating on a not-for-profit basis having a formal organizational structure (i.e. board of directors, committee structure, or a structure similar in nature).

The applicant must be providing local services, products, programs or initiatives, including environmentally-oriented projects, which benefit the majority of the Town of Erin and its residents.

Grants will be allocated to a maximum $3,000 per application per budget year.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 31.

The following organizations are not eligible for community grants:

  • Faith organizations
  • Political affiliations
  • Hospitals, clinic-based or medical treatment services
  • Educational institutions
  • Government (i.e. federal, provincial, county and municipal)

Applicants are asked to refer to the community grants policy and fill out the application.

“We have a number of amazing community groups and organizations that provide valuable service to our residents,” Mayor Michael Dehn said in a news release.

“The Community Grant program is designed to help these organizations by providing small operating, capital or project financing. I encourage our community organizations to take advantage of this opportunity.”
