Child Witness Centre receives $9,000 from 100 Women Who Care CW

It will support local youth who are victims or witnesses of abuse or crime

The 100 Women Who Care Centre Wellington are supporting an out-of-town organization helping local youth.

On Friday, the group made a donation of $9,000 to the Child Witness Centre in Kitchener. The cheque was presented to Kim Rodrigues the Executive Director od the Child Witness Centre. 

A release from the organization said funding will support local youth who are victims or witnesses of abuse or crime. The Child Witness Centre was nominated by 100 Women Who Care member, Maureen Farquharson.

 So far, the 100 Women Who Care CW has raised $18,500 for 2022 to support different organizations.

The 100 Women Who Care CW will meet again on Monday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the GrandWay Event Centre in Elora. To learn more about 100 Who Care CW, check out their website.
