Children's vaccine clinics being held at Sportsplex in December

Schedule is based on Upper Grand Family Health Team medical groups

WELLINGTON COUNTY – WDG Public Health and the Upper Grand Family Health Team are hosting COVID clinics for children aged five to 11 in December. 

Clinics will be hosted at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex in Fergus on Saturdays and Sundays in December with a schedule based on medical groups. 

The schedule is: 

Dec. 4

  • Limestone Medical Group (Dr. Meghan Garside, Dr. Amanda Kamminga, Dr. Morgan Kwiatkoski, Dr. Amanda Wagler)
  • Riverview Medical Group (Dr. Rob Norrie, Dr. Nancy Rose-Janes, Dr. Meghan Williams, Dr. Gillian Bedard)

Dec. 5:

  • Vista Medical Group (Dr. Steve Beamish, Dr. Brittany Brown, Dr. Eric Oh, Dr. Doug Roach)
  • Summit Medical (Dr. Mark Easterbrook, Dr. Matt Westendorp, Dr. Samantha Thompson, Dr. Nina Ramic)

Dec. 11

  • Little Falls Family Physicians (Dr. Graham Cummins, Dr. Juzar Jafferjee, Dr. Joel Phillips)

Dec. 18:

  • Elora Medical Group (Dr. David Brault, Dr. Ian Connelly, Dr. Cheryl Pridham, Dr. Alison Williams)

Patients of these practices are asked to call public health at 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006 to book an appointment. 

WDG Public Health will begin vaccinating children aged five to 11 starting Thursday with a vaccine clinic at Stone Road Mall in Guelph. 

The region received just over 17,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine.
