Eden Mills presents a dramatic reading of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Eden Mills Community Hall.

This beloved Christmas tale, from its first ‘humbug’ to its last ‘God bless us everyone!’ is perhaps the most long-lived Christmas story in history. This year it will come alive on the Eden Mills stage with a delightful cast of Guelph Eramosa friends and neighbours.

Staged as a reading with narrative and pop-up performances, Scrooge, Cratchit, Tiny Tim and all the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future will come to life. The Hall will be full of music with a special debut performance by the Eden Mills Children’s Choir and more.

This is an evening which will bring laughter and tears. Dickens’ rich and evocative language is always a marvel and there will be amazing hats!

“Music at the Hall” programs concerts and events of the highest calibre to keep the village hopping, and to raise funds for the Community Hall operations. The acoustically superb heritage Hall is proud to be carbon neutral.

Note: Given the current rise in flu and COVID cases, audience members are asked to bring masks, ideally N95 masks.
