CENTRE WELLINGTON – Whether its food, parades, fireworks or shows you’re after, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate Canada Day in Elora and Fergus this year.

Events are running all day long on July 1 starting in Elora for the morning and early afternoon then moving over to Fergus later in the day and into the evening.

The day kicks off in Elora early with the Elora volunteer firefighter’s pancake breakfast at MacDonald Square from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

After those two, a Dominion Day parade will march through Downtown Elora around 11 a.m.

The activities then move to Bissell Park where starting at 12 p.m. there will be a free hot dog lunch with live music, children’s activities, a dog agility show, the CW Rotary Duck Race and more.

Later on in the day, Fergus celebrations kick-off at 4 p.m. at the CW Sportsplex with admission by donation.
