The Grove Wellington Guelph is a “one-stop-shop” for youth aged 12-26 designed to meet a wide range of needs including mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing and other community and social services. As part of their programming, The Grove Wellington Guelph offers programs for parents and caregivers to become more involved in the mental health and wellness journey of their youth.

This month The Grove Wellington Guelph is partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) to provide a comprehensive session for parents on how to have difficult conversations with youth about mental health.

Youth Engagement and Education Coordinator on the Mental Health and Promotional Team at CMHA WW Meghan Mills will be speaking at the session. The intention of these workshops is to normalize conversations around mental health and wellness, while providing parents and caregivers with the tools to have difficult conversations with the youth in their lives.

The session is being hosted at The Grove Fergus site at 900 Tower Street S, Fergus and runs on Jan. 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. This session will also run virtually.

For information on how to register for this session, visit Eventbrite. For more information about The Grove Wellington Guelph and how it has been supporting youth, visit www.thegrovehubs.ca.
