Value of area homes sold in June hits $484M: CREA

According to the Guelph and District Association of Realtors, home sales are well above average in June 2021.

A total of 563 residential units were sold, up by 13.1 per cent from June of 2020.

According to the Canadian Real Estate Association's statistics, residential sales haven't hit this level in June in five years.

The dollar value of all home sales in June 2021 was $484 million, an advance of 39.2 per cent from the same month in 2020. This was also a new record for the month of June.

In June 2021:

  • 563 residential units were sold
  • $859,694 was the average price of homes sold
  • 719 new residential listings were posted

To compare, in June 2020:

  • 345 residential units were sold
  • $666,962 was the average price of homes sold
  • 448 residential listings were posted

In May 2021:

  • 590 residential units were sold
  • $921,827 was the average price of homes sold
  • 740 new residential listings were posted

To compare, in May 2020:

  • 307 residential units were sold
  • $666,060 was the average price of homes sold
  • 428 residential listings were posted
