October 18th, 1933 - June 18th, 2022

Marie was born on October 18, 1933 in Salem Ontario, the daughter of Maude Stockman (1914 – 2003). She passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 18, 2022 at her home in Wellington Terrace LTC Home, Fergus. Marie was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years William Henry (Harry) Chamberlain on July 18, 2010. Marie and Harry were lifelong partners as exemplified by the fact they were both dedicated to the Lord on the same day at the same place in 1937. Dear mother of Janice (John Dolan), Richard (deceased 2020) (Cheryl), Franklin (Cathy) Brian (Marion), Debra Young (Neil), Harold (Deborah) and Julia King (Jason). Marie was blessed with 14 grandchildren and their partners and took great joy in her 15 great-grandchildren.

Marie was predeceased by her parents-in-law Henry and Florence Chamberlain and her sister-in-law Florence Ruby Rickett (nee Chamberlain formerly Spies). She will be fondly remembered by her Hagarty relatives, nieces, nephews and their families. Marie was a retired employee of the Bank of Montreal in Elora and lifetime member of Central Pentecostal Church.

Thanks to the great team at Wellington Terrace and especially Dr. Stickney who have provided wonderful support and compassionate care to Marie for the past year. We are also grateful for friends and neighbours on Stanley Cres. who checked in on Mom and helped out prior to her move to Wellington Terrace.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Central Pentecostal Church, 7674 Colborne St. Elora on Tuesday June 28 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. A service of faith and celebration of Marie’s life will be held at Central Pentecostal Church on Wednesday June 29 at 11:00 am preceded by visitation from 9:30 – 10:45. Marie loved colour, so feel free to dress accordingly! Interment at the Elora Cemetery followed by a reception at the Church.
