November 18th, 1944 - December 26th, 2021
Joan Marie Cuming (Herron), age 77, died on December 26th, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She was born to Betty and Norwell Herron on November 18th, 1944, in Durham Ontario. After marrying her high school sweetheart, John Cuming, they had two children, Glen (Becky) and Donna (Mike), who will forever love and miss their Mom. Joan will be remembered as an amazing Grandmother by Daileas, Madison and Tegan. Joan was happily married to John for 57 years. She will be missed as his forever dance partner and best friend.
Joan was preceded by her sister Debbie at birth. She is survived by her sisters Gwen Herron and Brenda Bremer (Harold). She will be greatly missed by many relatives including cousins, nieces, and nephews. Joan was a woman of strong faith and will be dearly missed by friends and connections she gained through her membership and commitment to Melville United Church. Joan's family is very thankful for all the love and support received during her battle with cancer. She will be missed by many friends she has made over her years through hockey, square dancing, the Horticultural Society, her book club, Big Sisters Canada, neighbours, community work and by being the amazing woman and friend that she was.
Memorial Service for Joan will be conducted at Melville United Church, 300 St. Andrew Street West in Fergus, on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at 1:30pm. Attendees must register through the Funeral Home website and masks must be worn and in addition you MUST be fully vaccinated to attend the service.
