Ian passed away peacefully on December 26th at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Tyra, and cherished children Natasha (Shay), Alexander (Courtney), and the late Christopher. Loyal brother to Shirley, Chris, and the late Tony and Ann. Incredible friend to many around the world.
We take comfort in knowing that Ian lived life to the fullest as a world traveler, dedicated friend, and leader in his profession. As an active member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and the former chair of the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors, Ian was highly invested in his work/industry and had a passion for mentoring fellow construction professionals and new immigrants arriving in Canada that worked in his field. Always there to lend a hand, he is fondly remembered by family, friends, and colleagues alike for living a life full of laughter, compassion, and without regret.
A small, private service will be held to celebrate Ian's life and will be available via video stream shortly thereafter for anyone who would like to virtually attend and pay their respects.
