It is with profound sadness that the family of Jolan Israel announces her peaceful passing on November 25, 2022 at the age of 85 years.
Jolan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Peter Israel; children; Brad (Anne), Jennifer (Bill) and Janet (Richard) and grandchildren; Meghan, Zachary, Michael, Liam and Callum. Jolan is predeceased by her parents Mary and George Farquhar of Elora, Ontario. Always a caring and compassionate person, Jolan devoted much of her life to her nursing career most of which was spent at Kingston General Hospital and Mississauga Trillium Hospital.
Upon her retirement Jolan spent her time between Elora and Fort Myers, Florida with her family. A private service will be held at the family’s request. Memorial Donations may be made in Jolan Israel’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.support.cancer.ca). The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Groves Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
