March 16th, 1959 - July 10th, 2022
Passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, at the age of 63.
Survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy. Predeceased by his parents; George and Margo.
Greg was honoured to have been a full time member of the Guelph Fire Department for many years, as well as a longtime volunteer Firefighter in Elora. For the past 3 years he was the proud companion of his Service Dog, Riley the Golden doodle.
For many years, Greg had a pottery studio in Elora and enjoyed expressing creativity through his pottery making and furniture building. He loved to cook and was very talented in the kitchen, as well as being known as a cigar aficionado.
Greg and Kathy loved to travel and were able to visit numerous extraordinary parts of the world, over the years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 11AM – 1PM at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Elora. A graveside service will follow at 1:30PM at St. Mary/St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery in Elora.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg’s memory may be made to Service Dogs of Canada or to the PTSD Association of Canada.
