It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Patricia, beloved wife of Wayne (deceased), mother, grandmother and great grandmother, at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home in Fergus on July 28, 2022, in her 93rd year. Dearly missed by her children David (Carol), Kelly (Roland) and Charlene (Shawn). Loving Grandma and Nanny to Ryan, Alex, Tara, Adam, Meghan, Bradley and Carly. Loving Great Grandmother to Henry and Queeni. Survived by her sister-in-law Betty. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Gladys Sutherland and infant son Bradley Michael. Also, will be missed by many nieces and nephews and other family members, as well as dear friends. We take comfort in knowing that she is now on a dance floor with Wayne swinging to a big band of Angels.

Pat had many loves in her life. She loved her friends and weekly social activities including playing bridge, Beta Sigma Phi and church social events as well as bowling and line dancing. On retirement, Wayne and Pat moved to Fergus where she immediately joined the seniors centre! She loved all animals but particularly cats. She volunteered at Burlington Animal Aid and surprisingly never came home with any! Pat also loved her work, particularly at CUMIS, where Wayne catered to her from the moment she woke up to her morning coffee, to acting as her chauffeur in driving her to all of her social activities. Mom's greatest love was her family - in particular her grandchildren. She would offer advice whenever needed (or not), and was always there for many of their activities and life celebrations.

Cremation has taken place, and will be followed by a private family service at a later date and interment, with Wayne, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto.

Patricia’s family is forever grateful for the loving care provided by the caregivers of Wellington Terrace. Memorial donations may be made to SickKids Foundation, the Burlington Humane Society or to Cats Anonymous.
