January 31st, 1924 -  May 19th, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Groves Memorial Hospital. As per his wishes, he remained in his home until the last 24 hours. We are grateful for the compassion of a wonderful nurse and allowing us to say our goodbyes to him.

Jim has now joined his soulmate, Agnes (deceased June 2014). One of ten children, Jim is survived by siblings, Jeannette Witt, Lloyd (Judy) Tuck, Marilyn (Jim) MacQuarrie, Joan Snyder (Craig Alles) & sister in law, Mary Waldrum, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Special nephews, Shawn MacQuarrie & Paul Little, a beautiful friend, Gail Sawyer, who Jim welcomed their many visits and help when he needed it.

He was grateful to have wonderful neighbours, namely, John, Murray, Brenda, Harry & Jean to name a few. Thank you from his family!

Predeceased by his parents, Jack & Jessie Tuck, siblings Russell, Reta, Bert, Mary, Doris.

His service to our country showed that at a very young age. His experience overseas helped shape Jim and his courage, strength, and determination helped him shape his future. Being wounded in the War did not deter him from accomplishing so much in life!

He was the friend, brother and uncle everyone always wanted to have. Jim and Ag's home was a destination where you could relax and share good times no matter where they were. He took time to mentor the young and was always there to help if you needed a hand.

Maybe more than anything else….

I think we will always remember his quick wit and the laughs he gave us. This was a gift he never failed to share, whenever and wherever, you were lucky enough to spend time with him even in hard times. He would have a look I can't describe before he said something and made Agnes laugh so hard she had to wipe away the tears.

Somehow you just felt better when you spent time with Jim Tuck.

“Unique, talented, loving, caring, very stubborn and brilliantly funny…”

A private service will be held for Jim's family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation.
