Man, 32, charged in alleged sexual assault at Toronto's Bloor-Yonge subway station

TORONTO — A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged after police allege he sexually assaulted a girl at Toronto's Bloor-Yonge subway station last week.

Police say a man followed a girl inside the station just before midnight last Thursday and sexually assaulted her.

They say she yelled for help and several bystanders prevented the man from leaving.

Police say he was arrested at the scene.

The suspect has been charged with one count of sexual interference, a charge that relates to a sexual assault on a person under 16.

Police say he made a first appearance in court last Friday.
