On May 4, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a person being held against their will at a residence on George Street, Arthur.
Officers attended the area and were able to locate the victim who was uninjured.
As a result of the investigation, [a 30-year-old] of Arthur has been charged with forcible confinement and with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl. The accused has been held pending a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
