A local resident has been charged after an OPP investigation into domestic violence.
On March 15 at around 6:15 p.m., the Wellington County OPP responded to a residence in Centre Wellington and entered into an intimate partner violence investigation.
As a result, a 27-year-old resident of Fergus has been charged with assault - spousal and forcible confinement, contrary to the Criminal Code, police said in a news release.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on May 12.
