On Sept. 19, 2021, at approximately 5:15 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police along with the Wellington North Fire Service responded to a structure fire on North Water Street West in the Village of Mount Forest. It was reported that an occupied residential home was on fire.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation. The origin of the fire is unknown at this time and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshalls has been notified.
