RIDE check catches wanted person

Police say the driver was uncooperative and attempted to resist arrest

On May 5, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m., officers with the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were conducting a RIDE program on Wellington Road 21, Pilkington Township when a passenger vehicle entered the RIDE program. Investigation determined that the driver was wanted; however, the driver was uncooperative and attempted to resist arrest.

As a result of the investigation, [a 31-year-old] of Puslinch has been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, failure to comply with release order, possession of methamphetamine, and with operation while prohibited. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 30, 2023.

You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
