Danick Miguel Bourgeois, wanted for second-degree murder in the 2015 death of Frederick 'John' Hatch near Erin, has been named one of Canada's most wanted fugitives.

A man wanted in connection with the 2015 death of Frederick 'John' Hatch, whose body was found near Erin in 2015, has been named one of Canada's most wanted criminals.

The BOLO Program, a third-party national program enlisting help to arrest Canada's most wanted fugitives, named Danick Miguel Bourgeois number 13 on the 25-person list this year during a news conference Monday morning.

The incident happened in December 2015. Police say fire and emergency services responded to a brush fire east of 10th Line and just south of Wellington Road 124, just east of Erin.

Firefighters found Hatch's body at the scene. He was last seen a day before in Nepean.

Bourgeois, now 31-years-old, was identified as a suspect by Wellington County OPP in 2020.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for him in May 2021 for second-degree murder.

This is the second time a top 25 list has been released by BOLO. A list released in 2022 had Bourgeois at number eight.

BOLO said he is from St. Albert, Ontario, but could be anywhere in the country.

He's described as being 5'8" and 148 lbs, with brown eyes and last known to have black hair.

Efforts to arrest Bourgeois include a billboard campaign, which began last October.

There is also a $50,000 reward being offered by the province for information leading to the arrest and conviction for the person responsible for Hatch's death.

Police say if you see Bourgeois, do not approach him and notify your local police service.
