Franklin is also a member of the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario and was the past president on the Board of Directors of the Association of Dental Technologists of Ontario.

Franklin believes in educating his patients and says, “Our goal is to ensure that our patients are well informed in understanding that the health of their oral cavity is an integral part of their overall health. Dentures require maintenance and seeing your Denturist regularly for checkups is recommended.”

Above all, Franklin aims to ensure his patients leave the clinic feeling satisfied with their smile.

What is the difference between a Denturist and Dentist?

The word Denturist literally means “one who makes dentures.” Denturists are independent professionals, licensed and trained to provide removable denture prosthetic services. At Parada Dentures, the denture lab is on-site providing an immediate transfer of information from operatory to in-house laboratory. This results in fewer patient appointments, shorter turnaround times and a happier patient! The on-site lab enables the clinic to offer many same day services including most repairs are assessed to be done via drop off pick up for same day turn around, along with most relines and rebases within a day. Denturists are your denture specialists.

A dentist referral is not needed - if you want to achieve optimal results, regular appointments with both your Dentist and Denturist is ideal.

What services does Parada Dentures offer?

Parada Dentures offers a variety of services including:

  • Standard Dentures – traditional dentures fabricated using baseline material Vita MFT teeth and conventional processed acrylics.
  • Immediate Denture Services – when all or some of your natural teeth need to be extracted, immediate dentures are placed so you are not without teeth or a smile.
  • Partial Denture Services – when a few teeth are removed, partial dentures will complete your smile and prevent your own natural teeth from drifting.
  • Implant Retained Dentures – implants are used to anchor the dentures to prevent loose dentures and reduce the need for denture adhesive. Implants also improve stability, chewing force, and reduce tissue irritations and bone loss.
  • Precision Dentures – uses premium materials including high-end aesthetic teeth resembling natural teeth and injection processed acrylics with added measurement and fitting techniques to re-create your smile. Your realistic smile is fitted specifically for your mouth and profile.
  • Up Keep – most denture repairs are assessed and, if possible, completed the same day for contactless drop off/ pickup, relines, rebases.
  • Extra Services – Teeth whitening, custom sport mouthguards, and anti-snoring devices.

Problems associated with wearing old dentures

Do you already wear dentures? It is important to understand the potential problems associated with wearing older dentures. These problems include, but are not limited to:

  • The denture teeth wearing down or becoming flatter or shorter, which results in bite relationship changes;
  • TMJ (temporomandibular joint issues);
  • Unflattering “emaciated” or “sunken” facial appearance; and
  • Difficulty chewing.

Worn out dentures are usually ill-fitted and can also cause sore spots.

If you are experiencing any of these, please contact Parada Dentures for a consultation with a Denture Specialist.

Parada Dentures is technology advanced

Both clinics are fully digital, which means no goop impressions thanks to their 3Shape Trios impression scanners, printed models and the ability to mill all dentures with the Ivoclar Vivadent PM7. This technology offers precision and accuracy for both fit and function with your dentures. Don’t settle for anything less!
