Adopt Me: Michael really deserves a home for the holidays

His new family should know that he has a progressive FeLV infection, but he can still live a very happy life!

GuelphToday, in partnership with the Guelph Humane Society, brings you this feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Michael

Michael is a gentle boy with the softest, cutest little meow. He has a small meow, but a big heart!

He can be a bit shy at first, but with a little bit of patience and some food bribes, he will be your best friend in no time.

Michael's new family should know that he has a progressive FeLV infection, which means he needs to be an indoor cat. Feline leukemia (FeLV) is contagious to other cats, and therefore, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian on the risks of adding him to a feline-friendly home.

Michael can still live a very happy life in a quiet environment and with regular veterinary care, so we recommend speaking to your vet prior to adopting him.

Michael would make a wonderful addition to a calm and cuddly home. He has been waiting patiently for so long, hoping for his new family to find him before the holidays. Could you be the one to make his biggest holiday wish come true?

The GHS contactless adoptions have been so successful – they have given over 1,000 pets a loving #HappyTail during COVID-19! Virtual and/or phone adoption meetings will happen by appointment only.

If you think MICHAEL would be a good match for your home, check out the GHS contactless adoption process at guelphhumane.ca.

Not able to adopt? Consider donating toward the care of GHS animals at guelphhumane.ca/get-involved/donate.
