Adopt Me: Nelson loves to play and make new friends (adopted)

He is FIV+ but that doesn't mean he can't live a long and happy life with you!

Nelson

Hi, my name is Nelson! Behind those dashingly handsome and thoughtful eyes, I am a super sweet boy! I have a silly, bright personality, and every day I bring a smile to the faces of those around me.

I started out my life in a barn, and now I’ve happily become a house cat. I can be a little nervous when there is a lot going on, but I’m learning something new everyday. I’ve really come out of my shell since I first came to GHS, and I can’t wait to continue to grow with my new family.

My new family should know that I have FIV, which just means my immune system isn’t quite as strong as other cats. I am looking for a family where I can be an indoor cat and enjoy my new lifestyle – who knew being inside had so many cozy nap spots?! I could live with another kitty friend (as long as they also have FIV), and I could make friends with a gentle dog.

Since I’ve come out my shell, I’ve been able to show just how playful and goofy I can be. I LOVE to play with my toys, and when I get the zoomies, watch how fast I can run! Everyday is so new and exciting for me – I love exploring, making new friends, and showing off more of my amazing personality. I can’t wait to meet my new family, we have so much playing to do!

The GHS contactless adoptions have been so successful – they have given over 700 pets a loving #HappyTail during COVID-19! Virtual and/or phone adoption meetings will happen by appointment only.

If you think NELSON would be a good match for your home, check out the GHS contactless adoption process at guelphhumane.ca.
