EloraFergusToday received the following letter to the editor from Catherine Dutfield regarding the proposed Erin Village development:

The development in Erin Village will have a major negative impact on our West Credit River.

We still have trout in the river, and construction and regrading of the land will severely affect this fragile habitat.

The Erin/Hillsburgh area is all headwaters area, feeding into our river and aquifers.

Covering over all this sensitive habitat will further deplete our water table, which is already lowering at an alarming rate.
