The late John Prine was known as a 'songwriter's songwriter'.

An evening of live music dedicated to American singer-songwriter John Prine is coming to the Elora Centre for the Arts the evening of April 29 and Silence in Guelph on May 18.

Hello In There is a tribute to Prine's remarkable catalogue of memorable music.

Five musicians, James Gordon, Katy Topham, Ian Reid, Mark Ostrowski and Paul Whitaker perform a selection of songs featuring his heart-touching lyrics and ear worm tunes.

Prine, who died of complications from COVID-19 in 2020, was a songwriter’s songwriter who performed across the world, and was well loved for his down-to-earth storytelling as well as very catchy tunes.

Tickets are $25 and are available online from the Elora Centre for the Arts.

The second show is scheduled for May 18 at Silence, 46 Essex St. in Guelph, with tickets there only at the door.

Doors open just before 7 p.m. and the music begins at 7:30 p.m. for both shows.
