PUSLINCH – A Puslinch road will see an extended closure to allow for further construction as part of a Highway 6 construction project.
A construction notice from the Township of Puslinch said Concession 7 between Wellington Road 34 and Maltby Road will be closed to local access only from April 2 until December 2024.
This is to allow for phase two of the Highway 6 and 401 improvements between Hamilton and Guelph.
This phase of the project includes:
- Reconstruction of Concession Road 7 between Wellington Road 34 and Maltby Road
- New roundabout at Wellington Road 34 and Concession Road 7 intersection
- A new interchange on the Hanlon Expressway north of Wellington Road 34, including a new road to connect the new interchange to Concession Road 7 and to Wellington Road 34
- Removing signalized intersection on the Hanlon at Wellington Road 34 and building a new bridge over the Hanlon for Wellington Road 34 traffic
- Closure of the Maltby Road and Concession Road 4 intersection with the Hanlon
- New overhead sign structures, traffic signals and illumination
- New emergency vehicle turnarounds
- Drainage improvements
- Relocation of utilities
