WELLINGTON COUNTY – Two virtual debates are upcoming for Wellington-Halton Hills provincial election candidates.

On Monday evening, an all candidates debate will be hosted virtually by the Optimist Club of Puslinch and South Wellington Community Lions Club.

Organizer Matthew Bulmer said by email five provincial parties have confirmed they will have a candidate attending. He said attendees will be able to ask questions at the debate.

“Attendees asking a question will be asked to limit their questions to matters of provincial jurisdiction and will be allowed to provide some context to their question but will also be encouraged to move to their question in good time,” Bulmer said in an email.

The debate starts at 7 p.m. on Monday and those interested can register here

The next evening on Tuesday, the Wellington Federation of Agriculture (WFA) will be hosting an agriculture based debate over zoom.

Lisa Hern, WFA secretary-treasurer, said via email the public can watch through zoom or streamed live on Facebook and she will try to upload it later to YouTube.

This debate starts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and can be accessed here
