FERGUS – The Fergus Whalers weren’t able to put a mark in the win column over the weekend.

The PJHL team lost once at home and once on the road.

On Saturday Oct. 14, the Whalers lost 4-1 against the Kincardine Bulldogs at the Davidson Centre.

The Bulldogs pulled ahead early with a goal in the first period and despite efforts from the Whalers who evened the score in the second, Kincardine secured a win with three unanswered goals.

Sunday was a battle of Highway 6 for the Fergus Whalers with a home game against the Mount Forest Patriots where the team came up short losing 5-4.

The Patriots took the lead in the first period with two goals. The teams went back-and-forth with goals in the second and third which wasn’t enough for Fergus to catch up.

The Whalers have another two game weekend ahead with an away game against the Mitchell Hawks Saturday and a Sunday afternoon home game against Kincardine.
