Passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 13th at the age of 82.
Born in Toronto, she was the loving daughter of the late Bruce and Barbara Whaley (Large), wife of the late John Bodiam (2005), loving mother to Michael, Garnet and his wife Conny, Steve and Adam and his wife Julie. There was never a lull in conversation if Deb was around. She loved to talk about her family history and their accomplishments. She loved to read, and books were always a passionate discussion topic. She was a staunch card carrying Liberal, a Big Sister, a member of Probus, the 100 Women Who Care and Melville Church.
Deb was always willing to find a way to support those in need or fight for a worthy cause. A special thank you to the Nurses and Staff at Groves Memorial Hospital for the kind and gentle care they provided. Thank you to Dr. A. Kamminga for all her patience and support over the years.
Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00pm, followed by Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:00pm.
