Ruth arrived at her eternal home in heaven with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on May 7, 2024.

She will be greatly missed here by her daughters Brenda Brown and Anne (Dave) Oxford, grandchildren Christopher Brown, Stacey Brown, Laura (Dwayne) Craig and Hilary Oxford (Roy Loveless), great grandchildren Mikayla Craig, Porter and Hudson Loveless, her siblings Marlene (Norm) Cooper, Robert (Bob) Rogers and Douglas Rogers, brother-in-law Morley Chute, sister-in-law Edna Jackson, nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended family and friends at Central Pentecostal Church.

Pre-deceased by her husband of over 65 years, Robert (Bob) Jackson(2018), parents Harold and Myrtle Rogers, sister Carole (Rogers) Chute, sister-in-law Ruth (Ranton) Rogers, brother-in-law Donald Jackson, nieces Donna and Grace Jackson and nephews Clifford Jackson, Rick and Terry Rogers.

Ruth and Bob were born and raised in Elora and lived and worked in this area all their lives, except for the last 15 years before retiring, when they spent their days touring Canada and the U.S. as drivers and hostess on a tour bus which they greatly enjoyed.

Ruth was a lifelong member of Central Pentecostal Church where over the years she served with great passion in many different areas of ministry, including teaching Sunday school and leading classes in the Thursday morning Ladies bible study where she mentored, encouraged and shared the love and mercy of Jesus with many women. She made a lasting impression on many lives with her selflessness, glowing smile, loving heart and willingness to always lend a hand whenever/wherever needed.

All of her family knew her as always putting the needs and wants of others ahead of her own. Other than her Father God she valued family above all else and greatly enjoyed all family get-togethers!! Her door was always open for anyone to “just drop in” and rarely was there no home baking to be shared when you did. She will be greatly missed.

Happy home-going to heaven Ruth!! You are very much loved!!

Visitation for Ruth will be held in the main entrance lobby of the Central Pentecostal church in Elora on Thursday May 16th between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, as well as between 10am and 11am on Friday May 17th, immediately prior to her funeral service in the Church sanctuary at 11am. Reception to follow the service and then to the Elora Municipal Cemetery to bury her casket, all are welcome to attend.

Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus. www.grahamgiddyfh.com (519)843-3100
