July 5th, 1931 - February 5th, 2024
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Harold Ladd (2020). She will be lovingly remembered by their three sons: Stewart (Kathy), Andrew (Carla) and Patrick (Barb): her grandchildren: Jasmine (Andrew), Darren (Taylor), Jordan (Sadie), Hunter and Nathan as well as her great-grandchildren Ben, Chloe and Sophie.
Glenise was born on July 5, 1931 in Forks of the Credit in Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Abraham Hurd and Sarah Hurd (nee Ferguson), brothers Bud, Jack, Don, George, Mac and Glenn. Sisters Laura, Marj, Kay and Hazel.
Glenise retired from Canada Trust in 1993 and then began a new path of volunteering in our great community for many years. President of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 275 for many years, where she donated many hours in the kitchen catering. Also a caring volunteer at Groves Memorial Community Hospital and the Canadian Cancer Society.
To have known Glenise was to love her, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her was deeply blessed.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and her friends at Highland Manor, Dr. Stickney and Dr. Lund for the care and compassion they provided for our Mom.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus, on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at 11:00am. Following the service, we invite you to join us in a Celebration of Glenise’s Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 275 Fergus Hall from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
