$234K in copper wire reported stolen in Clifford

Police hope to identify three persons of interest

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two persons of interest in a theft investigation.

On Aug. 6, 2023 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a white Sprinter van and a white cube van were observed entering a property on Elora Street North, Clifford. Three unknown persons proceeded to load items into the vehicles and then left the area. It was determined that approximately $234,000 worth of copper wire had been stolen.

Photographs of two persons of interest and of one of the vehicles involved have been attached.

The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate. If you have information that might assist the investigation, you may call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
