A charitable foundation has stepped up to assist an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) homicide investigation with a targeted billboard campaign.

In May 2021, the OPP obtained a Canada Wide Warrant for the arrest of Danick Miguel Bourgeois, aged 29 years of St. Albert, Ontario. The accused is charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Frederick "John" Hatch. Hatch was last seen alive on the afternoon of December 16, 2015, in the area of West Hunt Club Road and Merivale Road in Nepean. His body was discovered 450 kilometres away near the Town of Erin, Ontario, in the early morning of December 17, 2015.

Beginning in October, a third party - the BOLO Program - is implementing strategically-placed billboards and electronic message boards in eastern Ontario, western Quebec and Wellington County (crime scene) to assist the OPP investigation in locating the accused. BOLO will also share content through its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

$50,000 reward remains in effect for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Frederick "John" HATCH. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Danick Miguel BOURGEOIS is urged to call the OPP's dedicated tipline toll-free at 1-833-517-8477 or their local police service. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can provide a confidential tip to Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington by calling 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.csgw.tips .

If anyone sees BOURGEOIS, do not approach him directly - call your local police service.
