CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a theft from a retailer in Fergus.

At around 8 p.m. on March 2, a suspect entered the store and placed nearly $1,000 in product in a black duffle bag before leaving, making no attempt to pay for the items, according to an OPP news release.

Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the person responsible for the theft.
