CRIME OF THE WEEK: Three recent thefts believed to be related

Between the dates of September 23rd and October 1st 2023, three separate thefts have occurred in Wellington County and are believed to be related.

The first theft took place at approximately 3:00am on Saturday September 23rd from a parking lot located on Ellis Road in Puslinch. Stolen was an excavator and a flatbed trailer, valued at $48,000.

The second theft occurred around 4:00am on Thursday September 28th from a business located on Hwy 6 in Arthur. Stolen was a black Freedom 822, enclosed trailer, valued at $14,500.

The third theft occurred at approximately 9:37pm on Sunday October 1st from an address on Minto Street in Clifford. Stolen was a company trailer with decals “Wightman” and marking “38T-20”, valued at $30,000.

The suspect is believed to be the same in all three thefts and is described as male, with a slim build. The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2017-2019 Chev Silverado HD pick-up truck, black mag wheels, black bed liner, dark tinted windows with roof lighting.
