Drugs seized during arrest of person want on outstanding warrant

ROCKWOOD - On Oct, 1, 2023 at approximately 8 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a wanted individual in the City of Guelph. Subsequent to the arrest, officers located approximately $1,800 in currency, approximately 11 grams of suspected methadone, multiple cellphones, a fraudulent drivers licence and other drug paraphernalia with the individual.

As a result of the investigation, Brandy Michelle Murray, 42 years old of Hillsburgh, has been charged with possession of an identity document and with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine.

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph.
