Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit are continuing to investigate a fatal collision in Woolwich Township.
On July 15, 2023 at approximately 1:45 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Chilligo Road and Woolwich Guelph Townline for a report of a collision involving a motorcycle.
Through the initial investigation, it was determined that a motorcycle was travelling north on Chilligo Road before colliding with a Kia SUV travelling south. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.
The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old male from Uxbridge, was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Chilligo Road was closed for several hours for the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing by members of our Traffic Services Unit.
