On June 26, 2023, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a building on Union Street East, Fergus. It was reported that on June 23, 2023 between 8-10 p.m. two people broke into the building and stole tools and building supplies and caused significant damage.
