Six intimate partner violence-related charges laid in Wellington County

Three unrelated investigations resulted in six charges

Wellington County OPP have laid several charges recently related to intimate partner violence.

On Sept. 25, police entered into an intimate partner violence investigation at a residence in the Township of Mapleton.

As a result of the investigation, a 75-year-old from the Township of Mapleton, has been charged with two counts of spousal assault.

On Sept. 21, police began an investigation into a report of intimate partner violence in Wellington County.

As a result, a 15-year-old from Mapleton, has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Also on Sept. 21, entered into an intimate partner violence investigation at a residence in the Township of Wellington North.

As a result, a 43-year-old from the Township of Wellington North has been charged with three counts of spousal assault.

All three accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph, at a later date.
