Suspect sought following theft in Mount Forest

Police say the suspect stole multiple items from a business before stealing a bike at the scene

MOUNT FOREST — The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in relation to a theft from a local store.

On Sept. 15, 2022, the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a theft that had occurred at a business on Main Street South, Mount Forest. It was reported that on Sept. 14, 2022 an unknown person took three items from the store without paying and then stole a bicycle at the scene before leaving. A photograph of the person involved was provided to police.

The photograph has been attached, and the Wellington County OPP are asking for the public's help in identifying this person of interest.
