Suspects sought in Erin New Year's Day home invasion

Two people were home at the time and one sustained minor injuries during an altercation with the suspects

On Jan. 1, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on First Avenue in the town of Erin. 

It was reported that two unknown persons attended the residence and stole approximately $350 worth of various items. The two occupants of the residence were home at the time of the incident. One occupant did receive minor injuries as a result of an altercation with the unknown persons. The suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect No. 1 - approximately 6-3, 200lbs, wearing a grey windbreaker style jacket, red ski mask, and dark sunglasses;
  • Suspect No. 2 - white male, thin build, deep voice, wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask.

At this time, investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety.
