Traffic complaint leads to impaired driving charge

GREY HIGHLANDS - An individual has been charged with multiple offences following a traffic complaint.

On Dec. 3, 2022 at 3:54 p.m., The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The motor vehicle was located, and the responding officer conducted a traffic stop. The officer determined that the driver was displaying signs of impairment and placed the driver under arrest. They were transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

The Grey Bruce OPP have charged [a 41-year-old] from Wellington North, with the following offences:
    •    Operation while impaired
    •    Driving while under suspension
    •    Obstruct plate
    •    Use plate not authorized for vehicle
    •    Possession of a schedule I substance (two counts)

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
