Two 19-year-olds taken to trauma centre after crash

Police say at around 1:30 a.m. they responded to a serious collision on Sideroad 10 E., north of Arthur

WELLINGTON NORTH – Ontario Provincial Police say two 19-year-olds suffered serious injuries in a crash early this morning.

Wellington County OPP say at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday they responded to a collision on Sideroad 10 E., north of Arthur.

Initial reports indicate a grey hatch-back left the roadway and the two occupants were injured, police said in a news release.

Members of the Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service responded.

The two occupants, both from Wellington North, were transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries, police said.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and the roadway remained closed for investigators, police said as of around 9 a.m.
