Wellington County man one of four arrested in drug bust

NORTH PERTH – A 38-year-old Wellington County man was one of four arrested in a North Perth drug bust Thursday night.

He was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and fail to comply with probation order.

Three other individuals face several drug charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.

OPP report that the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit made a number of arrests following a drug trafficking investigation.

Three people were arrested and were found in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and hydromorphone, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash and brass knuckles following search warrants being executed at two residences and a storage unit in North Perth.

As a result of the search warrants, another individual was arrested. Police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The total estimated value of the drugs is approximately $15,000. The total estimated value of the seized property is $1,200.
