Wellington County OPP say a 14 year old faces a total of 17 charges, including five counts of sexual assault.
Police report that on March 7 the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police entered into a sexual assault investigation. It was determined that between February 2022 and December 2022, three youths were sexually assaulted by another youth in separate incidents in the County of Wellington.
In one instance, intimate photographs of another youth were taken and shared without consent.
Police say the accused was known to the victims.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old of the County of Wellington has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Sexual assault - five counts
· Sexual interference - five counts
· Invitation to sexual touching - five counts
· Non-consensual distribution of intimate image
· Make child pornography available
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date. No further information can be shared as the accused and victims are youths and to protect the identity of the victims.
