On July 4, 2023 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the Township of Wellington North and entered into an intimate partner violence investigation. At that time, the victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old of the Township of Wellington North has been charged with the following:
• Sexual assault
• Mischief - three counts
• Uttering threats
• Assault
• Assault cause bodily harm - three counts
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
