January 16th, 1941 - February 23rd, 2024

Passed away peacefully with her husband Bill at her side, finally free of the pain and suffering that she had endured for years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 62 years Bill, her two children Brenda and Keith (Nancy), 4 grandchildren Nicholas, Drew, Spencer, and Barbara, and two great grandchildren Beckham and Tessa. Karen will be remembered by her siblings Joan, Steve and Paul.

Predeceased by her parents Ken and Mildred Warmington.

Karen was born in Fergus but lived her teenage years in Collingwood. After marriage, she spent her working years with Bill in the fuel business.

Karen was always enthusiastic about her vegetable garden, cherished her flower beds and had a love for flowers throughout the house. Karen had a love for music and dancing and travelling, which took her to many regions of the world. She especially enjoyed travelling South in the winter to St. Martin and Florida.

Karen was a long time member of Eastern Star and was a past Worthy Matron.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the caregivers at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care in Guelph.

Visitation will be held on February 28, 2024 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. West, Fergus. Memorial donations in Karen’s memory may be made to Parkinson Canada or Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
